Comprehensive scenario and variant guide for Catan
Legend Points are a game concept used in the two campaign-focused expansions, Legend of the Sea Robbers and Legend of the Conquerors. They are a key mechanic behind the campaign progression in both expansions - as players play each of the scenarios in the campaign, players accumulate Legend Points based on how well they did in each game, with the overall winner being the player with the greatest number of Legend Points once all scenarios are played.
Legend Points are awarded based on the victory point standings at the end of each scenario. This is done unconditionally in the Legend of the Sea Robbers campaign, but only if at least one player was declared to have won in the Legend of the Conquerors campaign.

All rankings for the purposes of the tables above include ties: for example, if two players tie for second place, both players earn the Legend Points under the “2nd” column, and the fourth-place finisher earns the Legend Points under the “3rd” column. Keep in mind that standings are based solely on victory points; it is possible that the winner of the scenario is not among the players who earn first-place Legend Points.
The players who earn first-place points are ineligible for additional Legend Points. In the Legend of the Conquerors campaign, all players are eligible for these additional points if the players are collectively defeated, as no Legend Points would have been awarded based on victory point standings.
In the Legend of the Sea Robbers campaign, additional Legend Points are earned if players complete bonus objectives; if at least one player completes the scenario’s bonus objective, they may start the next scenario in the campaign with the handicap setup.
In the Legend of the Conquerors campaign, additional points are awarded based on the progression on the hero track. As stated before, the players with the most victory points are excluded from consideration if at least one player was declared the scenario’s winner; if the players were collectively defeated, all players may earn Legend Points this way.
Note that the awarding of points is done after the first-place point getters are removed from consideration. By convention, the players who earn first-place points remove their markers from the hero track before these additional points are scored. In other words, if there is a player who was awarded 1 Legend Point from the hero track, there must be another player who was awarded 2 Legend Points from the hero track.
